Walking
From the center of Pisa, head towards the main train station, Pisa Centrale, located at Via Francesco Crispi. Once you reach Pisa Centrale, purchase a train ticket to Lucca. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Lucca train station, exit the station and turn left onto Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi. Continue straight until you reach the city walls. Enter through the nearest gate, Porta San Pietro. Once inside, walk straight until you reach the first major intersection. Turn right onto Via della Cittadella, and continue straight until you reach Piazza Cittadella, which will be on your left.
Bus
From the center of Pisa, walk to the bus stop at Via Pietrasantina. Look for the bus number 7 heading towards Lucca. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Lucca, get off at the main bus station. From there, walk towards the city center by heading north on Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi. You will see the city walls ahead. Enter through Porta San Pietro and continue straight until you reach the first major intersection. Turn right onto Via della Cittadella, and walk straight until you arrive at Piazza Cittadella on your left.
