Walking
From the Pompeii Archaeological Park entrance, head northeast on Via Villa dei Misteri toward Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. Continue on this road for about 1.5 km until you reach Pompeii train station. Take the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at Napoli Piazza Garibaldi station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs for the Metro Line 1. Take the metro towards Piscinola and get off at the Università station. Exit the station and head west on Via Mezzocannone, then turn left onto Via San Lorenzo. Continue straight and you will find the Complesso Monumentale San Lorenzo Maggiore at Piazza San Gaetano, 316.

From the Pompeii Archaeological Park, walk to the nearest bus stop at Via Plinio. Take the EAV bus towards Naples and stay on for about 40 minutes. Get off at the stop for Piazza Garibaldi. From there, walk to Napoli Piazza Garibaldi train station and follow the signs for the Metro Line 1. Take the metro towards Piscinola and exit at the Università station. Walk west on Via Mezzocannone, then turn left onto Via San Lorenzo. Continue until you reach the Complesso Monumentale San Lorenzo Maggiore at Piazza San Gaetano, 316.
