Walking
If you are near the Colosseum, head northwest on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. Continue straight until you reach Piazza di Porta San Giovanni. From there, take Via Merulana and continue until it intersects with Via Labicana. Turn left onto Via Labicana and follow it until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Maggiore. Turn right onto Via di Porta Maggiore and continue until you see the tram stop 'Porta Maggiore'. Here, you can catch tram 5 or 14.

Take tram 5 or 14 from 'Porta Maggiore' towards 'Piazza Venezia'. Get off at the 'Piazza Venezia' stop. From Piazza Venezia, walk towards Via del Corso and then turn left onto Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina. Continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Garibaldi bridge, and then follow Lungotevere de' Cenci until you reach Tempio Maggiore on your left.
