Walking
From the central Piazza della Cisterna in San Gimignano, head northeast along Via San Giovanni. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via delle Fonti. Turn left onto Via delle Fonti and walk until you reach the main road, Via Vecchia. Turn right and follow this road. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the bus stop for the Florentine bus service. Take Bus 130 towards Florence. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Villa Medicea della Petraia stop. The villa will be directly in front of you, located at Via della Petraia, 40.

Start at the main bus station in San Gimignano, located near the city center. Look for the Bus 130 heading towards Florence. Purchase a ticket from the ticket machine or at the counter. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride which takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the Villa Medicea della Petraia stop. The villa is located just a short walk from the stop at Via della Petraia, 40.
