Walking
From the center of San Gimignano, head towards the main street, Via San Giovanni. Walk straight until you reach the archway at the end of the street. Pass through the archway and continue walking until you reach the Piazza della Cisterna. From there, take Via San Matteo and follow the road as it curves to the left. Continue until you see the signs for the bus station on your right. Take the local bus from San Gimignano to Florence, which will take you to Piazzale Montelungo.

From any point in San Gimignano, make your way to the local bus station located near the main square, Piazza della Cisterna. Look for the bus heading to Florence. Once you board, the bus will take you directly to the main bus terminal in Florence. Once you arrive, exit the bus terminal and follow the signs to Piazzale Montelungo, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head towards Via Santa Caterina da Siena, then turn left onto Viale Giovanni Amendola. Continue straight until you see the signs for Piazzale Montelungo.
