Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Santa Maria Novella train station, exit the station and head towards Piazza della Stazione. Walk straight through the square and continue onto Via Nazionale. Follow Via Nazionale for about 500 meters until you reach Piazza della Repubblica. Once at the square, turn left onto Via degli Strozzi. Continue straight for another 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Via del Corso. At this intersection, turn right onto Via del Corso. The Obelisco will be visible ahead, approximately 200 meters down the street in the center of the square.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch Tram Line T2 from the Santa Maria Novella train station. Exit the station and look for the tram stop located right outside. Board the tram heading towards 'Unità' and ride for 2 stops. Get off at the 'Duomo' stop. From there, walk down Via dei Calzaiuoli towards Piazza della Signoria. The Obelisco is about a 10-minute walk from there, straight down Via dei Calzaiuoli, and will be on your left. Note that a single tram ticket costs €1.50.
