Walking
From the center of Sorrento, head towards the main square known as Piazza Tasso. Once you reach Piazza Tasso, look for the signs pointing to the Sorrento train station (Stazione Ferroviaria di Sorrento). Walk towards the station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the square. At the station, take the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples and get off at the Amalfi stop. Once you arrive in Amalfi, exit the station and follow the signs to the Duomo, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill. The Cathedral of St Andrew Apostle is located in Piazza Duomo, right in the heart of Amalfi.

From Sorrento, walk to the Sorrento bus station, which is close to the train station. Look for the SITA bus that goes to Amalfi. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. When you arrive in Amalfi, get off at the main bus stop. From there, it's a short walk to the Cathedral of St Andrew Apostle, which is located in Piazza Duomo, just a few minutes away. Follow the signs directing you to the Duomo, and you'll find the cathedral easily.

Head to Sorrento's harbor (Marina Piccola), which is about a 15-minute walk from the town center. Look for the ticket booth for ferries to Amalfi. Purchase your ticket and board the ferry. The ride to Amalfi takes around 30-40 minutes and offers stunning views of the coastline. Once you arrive at the Amalfi harbor, walk up the steps to reach the main square.
