Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the main square, Piazza Tasso, in Sorrento. Head east on Via San Cesareo, which is a pedestrian street filled with shops and cafes. Continue until you reach the intersection with Corso Italia. Turn left onto Corso Italia and follow it for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Sorrento train station, Stazione di Sorrento. From the station, you can catch the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. Stay on the train for about 30 minutes and disembark at the Pompei Scavi station. Once you exit the station, walk straight ahead for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Piazza Esedra in Pompei.

    From Sorrento, make your way to the Sorrento train station (Stazione di Sorrento), which is located about 1 kilometer from the center of Sorrento, near Corso Italia. Take the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. The journey to Pompei Scavi station takes around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Pompei Scavi station, exit the station and head straight towards the main entrance of the archaeological site. Piazza Esedra will be located just a short walk from the entrance.
