Walking
From the main square in Taormina, Piazza IX Aprile, head down via Teatro Greco. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Corso Umberto I. Turn left onto Corso Umberto I and walk for about 600 meters. You will pass several shops and cafes on your way. As you approach the end of Corso Umberto I, keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Catania. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the bus station, Stazione degli Autobus. Here, take the Interbus or Etna Trasporti bus towards Catania. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Catania, exit the bus and head towards Via Etnea. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach Piazza Santo Carcere, where the Church of Sant'Agata al Carcere is located at number 7.

Start from Taormina's bus station, which is located near the entrance to the town. Take the Interbus heading to Catania. Make sure to confirm the departure times as they can vary. The ride to Catania takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Catania bus station, exit and head towards the main street, Via Etnea. Walk straight along Via Etnea for about 15 minutes, and you will arrive at Piazza Santo Carcere. The Church of Sant'Agata al Carcere is located at number 7 in the square.
