Walking
From the main square in Taormina, Piazza IX Aprile, head southeast on Corso Umberto I. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Via di Villa Comunale. Here, turn left onto Via di Villa Comunale and follow it down until you reach the entrance of the gardens. Keep walking until you see signs for the cable car station.

Take the cable car from the Mazzarò station, which is located at the base of the hill. The cable car will take you directly down to Mazzarò beach area. The ride takes approximately 3 minutes, and you'll enjoy scenic views of the coastline.

Once you arrive at the Mazzarò station, exit the cable car and walk towards the beach area. From there, follow the signs to the boat rental area or the tours that lead to Grotta Azzurra. You may find boat tours that depart from this area to take you directly to Grotta Azzurra.
