From Trieste, head to the main bus station, Autostazione Trieste, located at Via della Libertà 10. Take bus number 36 towards 'Cividale'. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the stop 'Motovun'. From the bus stop, walk straight along the road until you reach the junction. Follow the signs towards the 'Parenzana Tunnel'. It is a short walk uphill to the tunnel entrance.

Walk to the Trieste Centrale train station. Take a train to 'Buje'. The train ride takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Buje, exit the station and look for the bus stop. Take the local bus towards 'Motovun'. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Motovun' stop. From there, follow the signs to the Parenzana Tunnel, which is a short walk away.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Trieste. Head towards the coastal road and follow the signs for the Parenzana cycling trail. The ride will take you through beautiful countryside and should take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the trail until you arrive at the entrance of the Parenzana Tunnel in Motovun.
