Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Naturns. Head southeast on Via della Chiesa toward Via Stazione. After about 200 meters, turn left onto Via Stazione, then continue for approximately 1 kilometer. Follow the signs for Castel Taranto, which is located on a hill overlooking the village. There is parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
To reach Castel Taranto via public transportation, take the local bus from Naturns. Board the bus that is headed towards the 'Castel Taranto' stop. The journey will take about 10-15 minutes. Once you get off at the Castel Taranto stop, follow the signs leading you to the entrance of the castle, which is about a 5-minute walk uphill.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, it is possible to hike up to Castel Taranto from Naturns. Start at the town center and follow the marked hiking trail towards the castle. The hike is about 1.5 kilometers and will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. This route offers beautiful views of the surrounding valley.
