If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Val Venosta and head towards Tschars. Use the SS38 road, which is the main road running through the valley. Follow the signs for Tschars (39020) and continue until you reach the town. Once in Tschars, look for parking options near the entrance to the Tscharser Waalweg trailhead, which is easily accessible.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, check the local bus schedules for connections to Tschars. You can take the line that runs along the SS38. Alight at the Tschars bus stop, which is centrally located. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the Tscharser Waalweg trailhead. Make sure to check the bus timings to plan your return trip.
Walking
Once you arrive in Tschars, if you are parked or have arrived by bus, head towards the trailhead for Tscharser Waalweg. The path is well-marked, and you can easily follow the signs guiding you to the hiking area. It’s a pleasant walk of about 10-15 minutes from the bus stop or parking area.
