Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Valdarno, take the A1 Autostrada towards Florence. After approximately 30-40 minutes, take the exit for Firenze Scandicci. Follow the signs for the city center (Centro). Upon entering Florence, look for signs directing you to P.za della Signoria. There is limited street parking available near the square, but it is advisable to use one of the nearby parking garages such as Garage Michelangelo or Parcheggio Piazza della Libertà, as parking in the city center can be challenging.

• Train

  If you are taking public transportation, head to the nearest train station in Valdarno, such as Montevarchi or San Giovanni Valdarno. Take a train towards Florence Santa Maria Novella (SMN), which usually takes around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at SMN station, exit and walk towards Via Panzani, then follow it until you reach Piazza della Repubblica. From there, turn onto Via Roma, which will lead you directly to P.za della Signoria, where the Loggia dei Lanzi is located.

• Bus

  For those preferring to travel by bus, check the local bus schedules for routes connecting Valdarno to Florence. Buses typically depart from central locations in Valdarno. You will want to take a bus that heads to Florence's central bus terminal (Piazza della Stazione). From there, it is a short walk to P.za della Signoria. Look for signs or ask for directions if you are unsure; the journey will take about 1 hour depending on traffic.
