Getting There

• Car

  To reach Ca’ Bernardo in San Polo by car, navigate to Venice and follow signs for Piazzale Roma, the main entry point for cars. Once you reach Piazzale Roma, you will need to park your vehicle in one of the nearby parking garages (such as the Garage San Marco), as cars are not allowed in the city center. After parking, exit the garage and head towards the Vaporetto (water bus) stop located at Piazzale Roma. Take the Vaporetto Line 1 towards the Rialto stop. Once you arrive at the Rialto stop, exit the Vaporetto and walk along the canal towards the San Polo district. Continue along the Calle della Bissa and turn right onto Calle Bernardo to reach your destination at Calle Bernardo, 2176/2179.

• Public Transportation (Train)

  If you are arriving by train, disembark at Santa Lucia Train Station. From the station, follow the signs to the Vaporetto stop directly outside. Take Vaporetto Line 1 towards Rialto. After approximately 25 minutes, disembark at the Rialto stop. From there, walk towards San Polo by heading along the canal and then turning onto Calle Bernardo. Your destination, Ca’ Bernardo, will be located at Calle Bernardo, 2176/2179.

• Walking

  If you find yourself near the Grand Canal, you can also reach Ca’ Bernardo on foot. Start by approaching the Grand Canal and head towards the Rialto Bridge. Cross the bridge and head straight along the street until you reach Calle Bernardo. The walk is scenic and should take about 15-20 minutes from the Rialto area.

• Vaporetto (Water Bus)

  For those already in Venice, the Vaporetto is a convenient way to travel. You can catch a Vaporetto from various stops around the city. If you are near the Accademia, take Line 1 towards Rialto. Once at the Rialto stop, exit and follow the earlier directions to Calle Bernardo. A one-way ticket on the Vaporetto costs around €7.50.
