Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are at Piazza San Marco, head towards the waterfront and take the Riva degli Schiavoni promenade. Continue walking along the promenade until you reach the Ponte della Paglia bridge. Cross the bridge, and as you reach the other side, turn left and follow the narrow alleyways. Keep going straight until you see a small square, Campo San Zaccaria. The Santa Maria Mater Domini church will be located on your right.

  • Vaporetto (Water Bus)

    Board the Vaporetto Line 1 at the San Marco Vallaresso stop, heading towards Piazzale Roma. Stay on the boat for 5 stops. Get off at the San Toma stop. From there, walk straight down the Calle del Traghetto until you reach the Calle di Santa Maria Mater Domini. The church will be at the end of this street.

  • Walking

    If you are at the Rialto Bridge, exit the bridge and head down the Calle della Botteghe. Continue straight until you reach the Campo San Polo. From Campo San Polo, take the Calle del Magazen until you reach the Fondamenta dei Santi Apostoli. Turn right and keep walking until you find the church on your left side on the corner.

    If you are near the Accademia Gallery, exit towards the Grand Canal. Walk along the canal towards the east until you reach the Campo San Vio. From there, take the Calle del Orso. Continue straight until you reach the Santa Maria Mater Domini church on your right.
