Our private Prosecco wine tour with Venice Day Trips was easily one of the highlights of our entire trip to Italy. From the very first contact with Rachel, the level of communication and attention to detail was outstanding. She provided a clear, detailed itinerary, answered every question along the way, and continued to be helpful right through the end of our time in Venice, even sharing recommendations for the best Aperol Spritz and gelato in the city. As for the tour itself, Mario was an absolute gem and a true professional. From the moment we met him at the water taxi terminal, he was friendly, personable, and made our group of six feel completely at ease. Throughout the day, he shared a wealth of knowledge about the Prosecco-making process, explained the differences between the DOC and DOCG regions, and gave us a much better appreciation for what makes the area and its wines so special. The tour was customized for our group, and the two wineries Mario selected were fantastic. The tastings were excellent, and the pairings of local cheeses and meats made the experience even better. Everyone in our group had a great time, and the day felt relaxed, personal, and never rushed. One of the things that really showed Mario’s professionalism was how he handled an unexpected bike race that temporarily blocked our route on the winding roads. Without missing a beat, he changed plans, took us to a local bar, ordered a bottle of Prosecco, and turned the delay into an impromptu lesson on DOCG Prosecco. Instead of feeling like an inconvenience, it became another memorable part of the day. From Rachel’s communication and planning to Mario’s knowledge, personality, and ability to make the day special, Venice Day Trips exceeded our expectations. If you are visiting Venice and have the opportunity to do a private Prosecco tour with them, we would highly recommend it. It was truly one of the best experiences of our trip.

Wow!!! Best cooking class so far.

What an experiance!! Learning how to make Gnocchi, Pizza and Tomato sauce, from scratch, was the most fun I have had while in Venice! We were a party of 2, that took the Vaporetto acrossed the water, to their home where they held the cooking class. Rosa and Angela, are the absolute best when it comes to teaching you the tricks of simplicity creating such delicious cuisines. I look forward to sending them pictures of what I make at home, when I bring what they taught me here in Venice, to my own Kitchen back to the US. Grazie mille, Rosa and Angela! Ciao, for now.
