Venice: Marco Polo Airport Private Transfer to Hotel by Car& Boat

A great way to arrive in Venice

Decided to go for the private transfer as my partner is disabled. Yes it's not cheap, but you get a very comfortable luxury taxi (with complimentary water) from directly outside arrivals, which takes you to Piazza Roma, from where the beautiful polished wood water taxi takes you as close to your hotel as possible (in our case a jetty a few metres from the hotel). Both the driver and water taxi captain deal with your luggage, all you have to do is admire the view!

Efficient method to get to Venice form the airport.

Alilaguna was efficient, but not the quickest way to get to Venice from the airport. The land bus No5 or Venice Express will get you to Venice station in 20 minutes. To further travel to S Marco, the vaporetto will take 50 minutes. Alilaguna from Airport to S Marco took 80 minutes in total, albeit without having to change.

Best way to enter the city-dramatic veiws

You can easily miss their office/check in counter but it will be in at the left side before yun enter the elevates walk way to the boat docks. The service is really good! The check in counter opens at 8am but our flight landed at 7:15 and the lady at the counter is there already. She said she opened early as she saw our flights coming in early. Very nice. On top of we got lucky as we need to obly share the ride wtih 2 other people. Total of 4 people only its like having a private taxi.
