Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Hip Strip (Gloucester Avenue), walk south along Howard Cooke Boulevard for approximately 15-20 minutes. The park is located on the left, across from KFC.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available throughout Montego Bay. A short taxi ride from the city center or the cruise port to Harmony Beach Park will typically cost between JMD 127 and JMD 500, depending on the distance and the taxi service.

  • Driving

    From Sangster International Airport, head east on the A1, then turn left onto Howard Cooke Boulevard. The park will be on your left. Parking is available at the park for JMD 200 per hour for cars or JMD 700 per day.

This revitalized public space, formerly known as Dump Up Beach, was opened in May 2021 at a cost of JMD 1.3 billion. The park's name was chosen via a public competition in 2020. The park features a beautiful white-sand beach, modern restroom facilities, showers, and changing rooms. For recreation, there is a children's playground, a basketball court, and a 600-meter jogging trail made with recycled materials. Visitors can relax on benches along the beach promenade or enjoy a picnic in designated areas. The park also hosts cultural events like MoBay Reggae Nights. Harmony Beach Park is committed to environmental sustainability, incorporating solar panels and endemic Jamaican plants into its design. CCTV cameras and security personnel ensure a safe environment. The park is easily accessible and has parking available, making it a convenient destination for a relaxing day by the sea.
