    To reach Shiraiwa Falls via public transport, start at Musashi-Itsukaichi Station on the JR Itsukaichi Line. From there, take a local bus (lines 20 or 21) from bus stop number 3 towards Matsuo. Alight at the Shiraiwataki bus stop; the bus ride takes approximately 15 minutes and costs around 350 yen. From the bus stop, it's about a 1-kilometer walk (15-20 minutes) to the falls along a well-maintained path through a picturesque forest.

    If driving from central Bungo, head northwest on Route 2, continue for 10 kilometers until the junction with Route 4, then take Route 4 north for 15 kilometers until you see signs for Shiraiwa Falls. Turn onto the smaller road leading to the falls. Parking is available near the falls for around 500 yen per day. Note that parking lots are generally open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily.

    From the Shiraiwataki bus stop, follow the marked walking trail for about 1 kilometer (approximately 15-20 minutes) to reach Shiraiwa Falls. The path leads through a picturesque forest and is generally well-maintained, though be mindful of uneven surfaces.
