Car
If you are driving from Buzen, take Route 10 south towards Beppu. After about 35 minutes, follow the signs for Beppu and merge onto Route 217. Continue on Route 217 until you reach the Beppu Ropeway's parking area located at 〒874-0000 Oita, Beppu, Minamitateishi, 字寒原10−7. Parking may incur a fee, typically around 500 yen for the day.
Public Transportation - Train
From Buzen, take a local train from Buzen Station to Beppu Station on the Nippō Main Line, which takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Beppu Station, transfer to the Kamenoi Bus (bound for 'Beppu Ropeway') and ride for approximately 15 minutes. The bus fare is about 500 yen. Get off at the 'Beppu Ropeway' bus stop, which is right at the entrance.
Public Transportation - Bus
Alternatively, you can take a direct Kamenoi Bus from Buzen to Beppu. Check the bus schedule for departure times as they may vary, but the journey will take around 40 minutes. Upon arriving at Beppu, you can transfer to another Kamenoi Bus to the Beppu Ropeway, which will take an additional 15 minutes. The total bus fare from Buzen to Beppu and then to the Ropeway is approximately 1000 yen.
