Car
If you are driving from central Buzen, head south on Route 10 towards Fukuoka. Continue on Route 10 for approximately 35 km until you reach the junction with Route 201. Take Route 201 towards Kyoto and follow the signs for Okochi Sanso Garden. The garden is located at 8 Sagaogurayama Tabuchiyamacho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto. Parking is available near the entrance, but a parking fee may apply.
Public Transportation
From Buzen, you can take a bus to the nearest train station, which is Buzen Station. Board a train on the Nishitetsu Tenjin Ōmuta Line towards Fukuoka. Get off at Saga Station (approximately 30 minutes). From Saga Station, transfer to the JR Sanin Line and take a train towards Kyoto. Get off at Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, take the city bus (Bus No. 205) towards Saga Arashiyama. Get off at the Okochi Sanso Garden stop. The garden is a short walk from the bus stop. Be aware that bus fares may vary based on the distance traveled.
