Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Buzen and head towards Route 10. Follow Route 10 until you reach the intersection with Route 2. Merge onto Route 2 and continue driving for approximately 1 hour. Once you see signs for Himeji, take the exit towards Himeji City Center. Follow the signs to Himeji Castle, which is located at 68 Honmachi, Himeji, Hyogo 670-0012. Parking is available near the castle, but it may incur a fee, typically around 500-1000 yen for a few hours.
Train
For those using public transportation, start by heading to the nearest train station in Buzen. Take the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line and transfer at Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station to the JR Sanyo Main Line. Board a train heading towards Himeji. The train ride takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Himeji Station, exit the station and follow the signs for Himeji Castle. It is about a 15-minute walk from the station to the castle.
Bus
Another public transport option is to take a bus from Buzen to Himeji. Check the local bus schedules for the latest routes and timings. You will likely need to transfer at a major hub such as Kurume or Fukuoka before reaching Himeji. The total journey may take around 2 to 3 hours depending on the connections. Once you arrive in Himeji, follow the signs to Himeji Castle, which is within walking distance of the bus stop.
