Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Chikugo City. Take Route 385 towards Fukuoka City. After approximately 30 minutes (around 25 km), merge onto the Fukuoka Expressway (E3) towards Hakata. Continue on the expressway for about 15 km. Take the exit for Hakata, and follow the signs to Reisenmachi. Hakatamachiya Furusatokan is located at 6-10 Reisenmachi, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, 812-0039, which should take about 5-10 minutes from the exit. Parking may be available nearby, but check local signs for details and potential fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Hakatamachiya Furusatokan via public transportation, start by taking the Nishitetsu Chikugo Line from Chikugo Station. Board a train headed towards Fukuoka. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at Tenjin Station. From there, transfer to the Fukuoka City Subway (Kuko Line) and head towards Hakata Station. After about 5 minutes, get off at Hakata Station. From Hakata Station, exit towards the East, and it's a 10-minute walk (about 800 meters) to Hakatamachiya Furusatokan located at 6-10 Reisenmachi, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, 812-0039. Be mindful of the train schedules, and consider purchasing a day pass for convenience, which costs around ¥620.
