Car
If you're driving from the center of Chikugo, take Route 208 heading towards Kiyama. After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the Kiyama area. Look for signs pointing to 'Kii Castle Ruins' as you approach Kokura. The ruins are located at Kokura, Kiyama, Miyaki District, Saga 841-0201. There is free parking available near the entrance to the ruins.
Public Transportation - Train
From Chikugo, head to Chikugo-Funagoya Station and take the JR Kagoshima Line towards Hakata. Transfer at Kiyama Station (approximately 30 minutes ride). From Kiyama Station, it's a 10-minute taxi ride to Kii Castle Ruins, costing around 1,000 JPY. Alternatively, you can take a local bus from Kiyama Station to Kokura, which may take longer but costs around 200 JPY.
Public Transportation - Bus
You can also take a bus from Chikugo to Kiyama. Board a bus at Chikugo Bus Terminal heading to Kiyama. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes and costs approximately 600 JPY. Once you arrive at Kiyama, you’ll need to take a short taxi ride to reach Kii Castle Ruins, which will cost around 1,000 JPY.
