Car
If you're driving from the center of Chikugo, start by getting onto Route 34 (also known as the Nagasaki Highway) heading west. Follow the signs for Saga/Tara. After approximately 30 km, take the exit for Tara. Once you exit, continue on the local roads until you reach Tara Undersea Road. The road itself is well marked, and there is ample parking available at the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Tara Undersea Road via public transportation, start at Chikugo Station. Board the Nishitetsu train heading toward Saga Station. After about 30 minutes, transfer to a local bus at Saga Station which is bound for Tara. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the Tara Undersea Road stop, which is conveniently located near the entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as the frequency may vary.
Taxi
For those preferring a more direct option, taking a taxi from Chikugo is an excellent choice. Simply tell the driver to take you to Tara Undersea Road. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes and will cost around ¥5,000 to ¥6,000 depending on traffic.
