Getting there

Car

If you are driving, start from Zao Onsen by heading southwest on Route 13. Follow this road for approximately 4 kilometers until you reach the Zao Liza World entrance, which is well signposted. Look for parking areas available nearby. Please note that parking may incur a fee, typically around 500 yen per day.

Public Transportation

From Zao Onsen, take a local bus heading to Zao Liza World. The bus stop is located near the Zao Onsen Tourist Information Center. Buses run regularly, but it's advisable to check the schedule in advance, especially during the off-peak seasons. The fare is approximately 300 yen one way. The journey takes about 15 minutes.

Walking

If you prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route from Zao Onsen to Zao Liza World. Start by walking along the main road towards the southwest for about 2.5 kilometers. The walk offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and takes roughly 30-40 minutes. Ensure you wear proper walking shoes, especially in winter conditions.
