Getting there

Car

If you are driving, start from the center of Echigo and take Route 17. Follow the signs towards Yuzawa. After about 30 minutes, you will reach Yuzawa. Continue on Route 17 until you see the exit for Takizawa Park. The park is located at 435 Yuzawa, Minamiuonuma District, Niigata 949-6101. There is parking available at the park, which is free.

Train

If you prefer public transportation, take the Joetsu Shinkansen train from Echigo Station to Yuzawa Station. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Yuzawa Station, exit the station and head to the bus terminal located just outside. Look for the bus labeled 'Takizawa Park' or 'Yuzawa Onsen,' which departs regularly. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes and costs around 300 yen.

Walking from Yuzawa Station

For those who enjoy walking, you can also make the trip from Yuzawa Station to Takizawa Park on foot. The park is roughly 2.5 kilometers from the station. Head south on Route 17, then turn left onto the road leading to Takizawa Park. The walk will take approximately 30-35 minutes, and you will be treated to scenic views along the way.
