Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Harima and head south on Route 2. Follow this road for approximately 15 km. As you approach Himeji, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Himeji Castle. Once you reach the castle area, look for signs to the Himeji City Zoo. The zoo is located at Honmachi, Himeji, Hyogo 670-0012, just a short distance from the castle grounds. There is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach the Himeji City Zoo via public transportation, first make your way to Harima Station. From there, take the JR Sanyo Line train towards Himeji Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Himeji Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal located just outside. You can take bus number 8 or 9, which will take you directly to Himeji City Zoo. The zoo is about a 15-minute bus ride from the station. After you disembark, you will see the entrance to the zoo just a short walk away.
