    If you are driving, start from Takayama Station. Head southeast on Route 158 for about 1.5 kilometers. Turn left onto Kamiichinomachi Street, and continue for another 500 meters. The Takayama City Museum will be on your left at 75 Kamiichinomachi. Look for the parking area nearby, which is usually available for visitors.

    From Takayama Station, take the bus bound for Hida No Sato (飛騨の里). The ride takes approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the Takayama City Museum stop (高山市町博物館). The museum will be just a short walk away, about 200 meters east from the bus stop. Follow the signs pointing towards the museum.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the central area of Takayama, you can walk to the Takayama City Museum. Starting from the Takayama Jinya, head east on Jinya-machi Street for about 600 meters. When you reach Kamiichinomachi Street, turn left and walk for another 300 meters. The museum will be on your right at 75 Kamiichinomachi.
