Getting There

    From the Hiroshima Museum of Art, walk north across the street. Cross the wooden bridge over the moat to reach the Main Gate entrance to Hiroshima Castle. The walk is short and direct.

  • Public Transport

    Take the Hiroshima streetcar (lines 1, 2, or 6) to Kamiyacho-nishi or Kamiyacho-higashi stop. From either stop, walk approximately 10 minutes north to reach Hiroshima Castle's Main Gate. The tram fare is a flat rate of ¥240. Alternatively, the Hiroshima Sightseeing Loop Bus (Meipuru-pu) stops at Hiroshima Castle. The fare is ¥240 per ride, or ¥600 for a 1-day pass.

    From Hiroshima Station, a taxi ride to Hiroshima Castle's main gate takes approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The estimated fare is ¥1,200 - ¥1,800. Note that there is no dedicated parking at the castle.
