By Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Sapporo, the capital city of Hokkaido. Take the Hokkaido Expressway and follow signs to Asahikawa. The total distance is approximately 140 kilometers and will take around 2 hours. Once you reach Asahikawa, get onto Route 39 towards Higashikawa. Drive for about 30 kilometers until you see signs for the Asashidake Ropeway. There are parking facilities available at the base of the ropeway, which may incur a small fee.
By Train and Bus
For those using public transportation, take a train from Sapporo Station to Asahikawa Station. The journey takes about 1.5 hours on the Limited Express train. Once at Asahikawa Station, transfer to a bus heading to Asashidake Onsen. Buses run frequently, and the ride will take about 1 hour.
