By Car
If you're traveling by car, take the Hokkaido Expressway from Sapporo. Exit at the Kamikawa Interchange and follow Route 39 towards Asahidake. Continue on Route 39 for about 40 kilometers until you reach the Daisetsuzan Asahidake Ropeway parking area. Parking is available, and the entrance to the ropeway is just a short walk from the lot. Be aware that there may be a parking fee during peak seasons.
By Train and Bus
For those using public transportation, take a train from Sapporo to Kamikawa Station, which takes about 2.5 hours. From Kamikawa Station, board a bus operated by Daisetsuzan Bus. The bus ride to the Daisetsuzan Asahidake Ropeway takes approximately 50 minutes. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service frequency may vary. The bus fare is around 1,000 yen one way.
