Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Higashikawa from the nearest major city, Asahikawa. Take National Route 39 and continue driving for about 30 kilometers. You will see signs for Yukomanbetsu. Once you reach Yukomanbetsu, follow the signs leading to Komadome Waterfall. There is a parking area near the waterfall, which is free of charge.
Public Transportation
To reach Komadome Waterfall using public transportation, take a train from Asahikawa Station to Higashikawa Station on the Furano Line. The journey takes about 35 minutes. After arriving at Higashikawa Station, you will need to take a taxi to Yukomanbetsu. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes and may cost around 3,000 to 4,000 yen. Once you arrive in Yukomanbetsu, follow the signs to the waterfall, which is a short walk from where the taxi drops you off.
Hiking
If you're adventurous and looking to hike to Komadome Waterfall, you can start from the Yukomanbetsu area. There are hiking trails leading directly to the waterfall. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and bring enough water. The hike is moderate and takes about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
