Car
If you're driving, start from Sapporo, the largest city in Hokkaido. Take the Hokkaido Expressway (道央自動車道) heading towards Obihiro. After approximately 200 km, take the exit for Nakasatsunai (中札内). Follow Route 38 towards Nakasatsunai. Continue on this road for about 30 km until you reach Nishi 3 Sen. Turn left onto Nishi 3 Sen and drive approximately 1 km until you arrive at Rokka Forest, located at Nishi 3 Sen-249-6 Tokiwa. Parking is available on-site, and there is no fee for parking.
Public Transportation
To reach Rokka Forest via public transportation, take a train from Sapporo Station to Obihiro Station. The train ride takes about 2.5 hours. From Obihiro Station, you will need to take a bus to Nakasatsunai. The bus operates several times a day and takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Nakasatsunai stop. From there, it is a short taxi ride (approximately 10 minutes) to Rokka Forest. Be sure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary, and have some cash ready for the taxi fare.
Taxi
If you find yourself in Nakasatsunai but do not want to take the bus, you can easily hail a taxi from anywhere in the area. Just tell the driver you are going to Rokka Forest (ロッカの森) located at Nishi 3 Sen-249-6 Tokiwa. The taxi ride should take about 10 minutes from the town center and will cost approximately ¥1,500 to ¥2,000.
