Exit at Kamikawa IC and follow Route 39 towards Kamikawa. After about 30 km, follow the signs for Sounkyo (層雲峡), which is about 15 km away. Continue on this road, and you'll find Ryusei Waterfalls just past the Sounkyo Onsen area. Parking is available nearby, typically free of charge.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Sapporo Station to Kamikawa Station. The journey takes about 2.5 hours, and you will likely need to transfer at Asahikawa Station. Once at Kamikawa Station, you can catch a local bus (Sounkyo Line) that takes you directly to Sounkyo Onsen. The bus ride lasts about 30 minutes.
