Car
If you are driving from Sapporo, take the Hokkaido Expressway (道央自動車道) towards Asahikawa. Exit at the Biei Interchange (美瑛IC) and follow Route 237 towards Biei. Continue on this road until you reach Shirogane. The Shirahige Waterfall will be well-marked along the way. There is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
From Sapporo Station, take the JR Hakodate Line to Kamikawa Station (approximately 2 hours). Transfer to the JR Furano Line and get off at Biei Station. From Biei Station, you can take a local bus (Biei Shirogane Line) that goes directly to Shirogane. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes, and the waterfall is a short walk from the bus stop.
Car
If you are in Asahikawa, take Route 38 towards Biei. Continue driving until you reach the intersection with Route 237. Turn left onto Route 237 and follow the signs to Shirogane. The Shirahige Waterfall will be on your right side, and there is a parking area available.
Public Transportation
From Furano Station, take the Furano Line to Biei Station. Once at Biei Station, you can hail a taxi or take a local bus to Shirogane. The taxi ride will take around 20 minutes and the bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance.
