Driving
From Kamifurano town, head east towards the Tokachi Onsen area. Follow the road (likely Route 966) for approximately 15-20 minutes. The road ends at the Ryounkaku Onsen, where you'll find a large parking lot that serves as the trailhead for Mount Furano. Parking is free. During peak season (summer and fall foliage), arrive early as the lot can fill up quickly.
Public Transport
From JR Kami-Furano Train Station, take the Kami-Furano Town Bus bound for the Tokachi-Onsen spa area. The bus will take you to the Ryounkaku Onsen, which is right next to the Mt. Furano trailhead. The bus fare is approximately ¥500-700. Check the Kami-Furano Town Bus company schedule for current times, as services may be limited, especially outside of peak season.
