To reach Mount Tokachi by public transport, take a train to Kami-Furano Station. From there, take a bus bound for Tokachi-dake Onsen and get off at the last stop. From Tokachi-dake Onsen, you can access various trailheads. Bus schedules may be limited, so check in advance. A one way bus fare from Biei JR Station to Shirogane Onsen is 650 yen.
