Getting There

Car
From the center of Hyuga, head south on Route 10 (国道10号) towards Hichiya. After approximately 5 kilometers, look for the signs indicating Komenoyama Observatory. Turn left onto a smaller road leading up the mountain (this road may be steep and winding). Continue driving for about 2 kilometers until you reach the parking area at the observatory. Parking is free.

Public Transportation
Begin your journey at Hyuga Station. Take the local bus (Hichiya Line) towards Hichiya (日向市). The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Hichiya' bus stop. From there, you will need to walk about 1.5 kilometers up the road leading to Komenoyama Observatory. The walk is uphill, so be prepared for a bit of exercise. It’s advisable to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may not be frequent.
