By Car
If you are driving, the Yatogi Falls can be accessed from the nearby cities. From Miyazaki City, take Route 10 heading north for approximately 30 km. Then merge onto Route 220 and continue for about 20 km until you reach Tsuno. In Tsuno, follow the signs to Kawakita. The falls are located close to the Kawakita area. There is limited parking available near the falls, so be prepared to park your vehicle and walk a short distance to the viewing area.
By Public Transportation
To reach Yatogi Falls via public transportation, start by taking a train from Miyazaki Station to Nobeoka Station on the Nippō Main Line. From Nobeoka Station, transfer to the bus heading to Tsuno. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Upon arriving at Tsuno, you may need to take a taxi or a local bus to Kawakita, as direct public transport to Yatogi Falls may not be available. Expect taxi fares to be around 1,500 to 2,000 yen (approximately $15 to $20) for the short distance.
