Walking
If you are already in Hososhima, you can walk to the Skeluccha Viewing Deck. Head southeast on the main street towards the coast. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the viewing deck. The path is well-marked with signs, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way. This walk will take approximately 20 minutes.
Public Transport
To reach Skeluccha Viewing Deck using public transportation, take the JR Nippō Main Line from Hyuga Station to Hososhima Station. The journey takes around 20 minutes. From Hososhima Station, you can take a local bus or a taxi to reach the viewing deck, which is about 5 km away. If you choose the bus, check the local bus schedules as they may vary. A taxi will cost approximately 1,500 to 2,000 JPY and will take around 10 minutes.
Car
If you are driving from central Hyuga, take Route 10 heading southeast. Follow the signs towards Hososhima and continue for about 10 kilometers. As you approach Hososhima, look for signs for Skeluccha Viewing Deck. You will need to turn left onto a smaller road that leads directly to the viewing deck. There is a parking area available near the deck, which is free of charge.
