The Hōhei Kan, a beautifully preserved historical building in Sapporo's Nakajima Park, offers a unique glimpse into the Meiji era. Originally built in 1880 as a hotel for foreign engineers and dignitaries, it later hosted Emperor Meiji. Today, it functions as a museum and wedding venue, showcasing a blend of American and European architectural styles.

Subway
From Sapporo Station, take the Namboku Line (Green Line) subway towards Makomanai. Ride for 4 stops and get off at Nakajima Koen Station. Take exit 3, and walk east towards Nakajima Park. The Hōhei Kan is a 5-minute walk from the station. Subway fare is approximately ¥210-¥240.
Streetcar
Take the Sapporo Streetcar to Nakajima-Koen-Dori Station, located on the park's west side. From there, it is a 5-minute walk to the Hōhei Kan. The streetcar fare is ¥200.
Taxi
From JR Sapporo Station, a taxi to Hōhei Kan takes approximately 10 minutes and costs around ¥1,200. Taxis are readily available at the station.
