From Habuminato Port, the Otain Monument is a short walk along the coast. Follow the main road through the town, heading towards the ocean. The monument is located on a small promontory overlooking the sea. The walk is relatively easy, with paved paths and clear signage. No costs are involved.

Public Transport

From Motomachi Port or Okata Port (the main ferry arrival points), take a bus towards Habuminato. Alight at the Habuminato bus stop, from where the monument is a short walk. Bus fares range from 130 to 940 yen depending on the distance traveled. Check local bus schedules for accurate timings. From the bus stop, follow the main road through the town, heading towards the ocean. The monument is located on a small promontory overlooking the sea.

Taxi

Taxis are available from both Motomachi and Okata Ports. A taxi to Otain Monument from either port will cost approximately 2,000 - 3,000 yen, depending on traffic and the exact route. The journey takes around 15-25 minutes. Ask the driver to take you to the Otain Monument in Habuminato. Several taxi companies operate on the island.
