Car
If you're driving to Chabatake from central Izu, start on Route 1 heading north towards Susono. Continue on Route 1 for about 30 minutes until you reach the Susono area. Once in Susono, look for signs directing you to Chabatake, which is located near the foothills of Mt. Fuji. You will see the entrance marked as you approach the location. There is parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach Chabatake by public transportation, first take the JR Tokaido Line from Izu city center towards Mishima Station. This journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Mishima Station, transfer to the JR Gotemba Line and travel towards Susono Station, which is about a 20-minute ride. Once you arrive at Susono Station, exit the station and catch a local bus that heads towards Chabatake. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as buses may not run frequently. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Chabatake stop, and you will see the attraction nearby.
