Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Route 1 (Tōmei Expressway) and take the Hakone Exit. Follow the signs for Hakone and continue on Route 734. Drive for approximately 15 minutes until you reach Motohakone, where Lake Ashi is located. Look for parking options near the lake, as there are several public parking lots available with fees typically around 500 to 1000 yen for a few hours.

    For those using public transportation, take the Hakone Tozan Bus from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Board the bus heading towards Motohakone and stay on for about 30-40 minutes.
