Public Transport
From Shuzenji Station, take bus C10 or 修10 to the Shuzenji Onsen bus stop. The bus ride takes approximately 15-20 minutes and costs around ¥260. From the bus stop, the Bamboo Forest Path is a short 5-minute walk away. Follow the signs towards Shuzenji Temple; the path runs alongside the Katsura River.
Walking
From Shuzenji Station, it is approximately a 30-minute walk to the Bamboo Forest Path. Exit the station and follow the main road towards Shuzenji Temple. Continue along the road, following signs for the temple and the Shuzenji Onsen area. The Bamboo Forest Path will be on your right, alongside the Katsura River, just before you reach the heart of the onsen town.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available at Shuzenji Station. A taxi ride to the Bamboo Forest Path takes approximately 5-10 minutes and costs around ¥1300. Ask the driver to take you to Shuzenji Onsen near Shuzenji Temple; the Bamboo Forest Path is located right in the center of that area.
