Public Transport

From Shuzenji Station, take a bus bound for Kawazu Station. Alight at the Joren Falls (Joren-no-taki) bus stop. The bus ride takes approximately 35-38 minutes. From the bus stop, it's a 5-10 minute walk to the falls. Bus fare is approximately ¥800-¥900.
Car

Joren Falls is easily accessible by car. Set your GPS to 892-14 Yugashima, Izu, Shizuoka. There is a free car park available near the entrance. Note that the road leading to the car park can be narrow and uphill.

The name 'Joren' is believed to originate from Jorenji Temple, which once stood near the waterfall's left bank.Joren Falls is not only a visual spectacle but also a place steeped in local folklore. It is said to be the home of the Jorogumo, a spider yokai that can transform into a seductive woman. Visitors can descend approximately 200 steps from the parking area to reach the waterfall basin, immersing themselves in the refreshing, negative ion-rich atmosphere.The area around Joren Falls offers more than just scenic beauty.
