Public Transport

From Kawazu Station, take the Tokai bus (C50) towards Kawazu Nanadaru Onsen. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes to the Kawazu Nanataki Onsen bus stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the Kama-daru Falls entrance. Bus fare is approximately ¥670 per person. A round-trip ticket can be purchased for ¥1150 if the ticket counter is open.

Walking

Kama-daru Falls is the first waterfall on the Kawazu Seven Waterfalls trail when starting from the Mizudare bus stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs for the trail. The path descends into the forest and leads to Kama-daru Falls in a few minutes. Be aware that the path can be steep and slippery in places.

Kama-daru Falls, also known as Kama Falls, is a highlight of the Kawazu Seven Waterfalls (Kawazu Nanadaru) located in Kawazu, Shizuoka Prefecture. This stunning waterfall stands 22 meters tall and 2 meters wide, making it the second-largest of the seven falls. The name 'Kama-daru' (釜滝) translates to 'Cauldron Falls,' derived from the basin's resemblance to the bottom of a Japanese cooking pot.The falls are part of a series of waterfalls formed by the pure waters of the Kawazu River as they descend from the Amagi mountain range. The surrounding landscape showcases the Izu Peninsula's volcanic origins, with striking columnar joints created by cooling lava.
