If you're driving, start by heading towards the city center of Kagoshima. Use Route 3 (Kagoshima Loop Road) to reach the Higashisengokucho area. Once you arrive in Higashisengokucho, look for parking options nearby as the temple does not have its own parking lot. A public parking space is available just a short walk away. From the parking, walk towards 21-38 Higashisengokucho, and you will see the Nishi-Hongwanji temple.

Public Transportation
To reach Nishi-Hongwanji by public transportation, take the Kagoshima City Tram and board a tram heading towards 'Kagoshima Chuo'. Get off at 'Kamoike' station. From the station, take a 10-minute walk. Head east on Kamoike-dori towards the main road, then turn left onto Higashisengokucho. Continue straight for about 600 meters, and you will arrive at 21-38 Higashisengokucho, where Nishi-Hongwanji is located.
